·Our breastfeeding policy is known to all health personnel.
·All health personnel have been trained on breast milk and breastfeeding.
·Our primary goal after birth is to initiate the baby's skin contact with their mother and start breastfeeding within half an hour at the most. In fact, the baby is placed on the mother during the episio stitching by the delivery team, so that the skin contact between the mother and the baby is ensured.
·Newborns are not given food other than breast milk unless medically necessary.
·It is ensured that the mother and baby stay in the same room.
·Breastfeeding should be encouraged whenever the baby wants it.
·Giving pacifiers and bottles to babies is prohibited. Food samples, food booklets, posters and promotions about food are kept away from our hospital.
·When mothers receive maternity training in the gynecology service and apply to the hospital for their children after discharge, their education on breast milk should be reinforced again.
·Mothers who have been discharged are encouraged to feed their babies only with breast milk for the first 6 months, to start complementary foods after 6 months, and to continue breastfeeding until the age of two.
