He was born at Çanakkale in 1956. Completed TED Ankara College in 1974.

He graduated from Çukurova Medical Faculty in 1980 as a distinguished student.

Worked at Clinical Geriatrics Department of Istanbul University Çapa Medical Faculty. He works independently since 1994. He is married and father to 2 chilren.

His children also carry out the profession of medicine.
